Privacy Policy for PinProof

At PinProof, we believe that your data is yours. Because your photos often document things that matter — on site, at home, or anywhere in between — we have designed PinProof to be completely private by default.

This Privacy Policy explains how Seven Isles Labs ("we", "us") handles your data when you use the PinProof mobile application ("the App").

1. The Short Version: We Don't Collect Your Data

PinProof does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, photos, or location history to Seven Isles Labs or any third party. We have no user accounts, no backend servers, no tracking analytics, and no advertising networks. The App operates almost entirely on your device.

2. Permissions and Local Data

To function, PinProof requires access to specific hardware features on your device. This data is processed locally:

• Camera: Used strictly to capture photos at your request.
• Location: Used to embed latitude, longitude, and altitude data into your photos (visibly via watermarks and invisibly via EXIF metadata).
• Storage / Photo Gallery: Used to save your captured photos and read them for in-app gallery features.

Your photos and location data never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share them using your device's native sharing capabilities.

3. Third-Party Services (OpenStreetMap)

The App uses OpenStreetMap (OSM) to provide map thumbnails and convert your GPS coordinates into human-readable street addresses (reverse geocoding).

• When the Show Map or Show Address settings are enabled, the App sends your current coordinates to OpenStreetMap servers to retrieve this data.
• No photos or personally identifiable information are sent to OpenStreetMap.
• This interaction is governed by the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.

4. No Advertising or Analytics

We do not use any third-party advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob) or analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics). We monetize the app exclusively through a one-time, optional "Pro" purchase. There is no hidden tracking.

5. Sharing and Exporting Data

If you use the App's features to export your data (e.g., KML or CSV export, or sharing a photo), the App hands that data over to the standard sharing menu on your device (iOS Share Sheet or Android Share Menu). We do not intercept or monitor this data. The privacy of that shared data is governed by the apps or services you choose to share it through (e.g., your email provider or cloud drive).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly. Any changes will be reflected in an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this document and will be included in the App's update notes in the App Store or Google Play Store.
