Terms and Conditions for PinProof

Welcome to PinProof ("the App"), developed and published by Seven Isles Labs ("we", "us", or "Seven Isles Labs"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

PinProof is a utility application designed to embed GPS coordinates, timestamps, and custom notes into your photographs for documentation and reference purposes.

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not use the App to deceive, defraud, or illegally track others, nor should you use it in any way that violates local, state, national, or international laws.

2. Accuracy of Data (Disclaimer)

The App relies on your device's internal GPS hardware, system clock, and internet connection to fetch coordinates, timestamps, and address data.

• No Guarantee of Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the location data, addresses, or timestamps generated by the App. Satellite signals can be degraded by buildings, weather, or device hardware limitations.
• Verify Before Relying On It: It is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of the data embedded in your photos before submitting them for legal, surveying, engineering, insurance, or official auditing purposes. We are not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from inaccurate data.

3. Purchases and "Pro" Tier

PinProof operates on a freemium model. Core features are free forever, with no advertisements. Additional professional features can be unlocked via a one-time In-App Purchase ("Pro").

• No Subscriptions: The Pro unlock is a one-time payment. We do not charge recurring subscription fees.
• Transactions: All purchases are processed by the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not handle your payment information.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google and are subject to their respective refund policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.

4. Privacy and Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all photos taken and metadata generated using the App. As outlined in our Privacy Policy, the App processes your data locally on your device. We do not have access to, nor do we claim any ownership over, your photos or location history.

5. Third-Party Services

The App utilizes OpenStreetMap to provide map thumbnails and reverse geocoding (translating coordinates into street addresses). Your use of these features is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's terms of service and availability. We are not responsible for outages or inaccuracies in OpenStreetMap's data.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including its design, code, graphics, and text, are owned by Seven Isles Labs. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal or professional devices. You may not reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the App without written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seven Isles Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use or inability to use the App. The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
